Approximately 500 Gardner Energy electric customers lost power shortly after noon on March 22.
Power has been restored to a majority of those customers, but a handful of customers will have to wait several hours before they have electricity.
Bill Krawczyk, Gardner Energy director, said a trash truck took out a power pole west of Center Street earlier today.
“We’ve switched everyone back on that we can, but there are going to be a handful of customers without power until we can get that pole replaced,” Krawczyk said.
He estimated that about 100, mostly residential customers, remain without power more than an hour after the event.
“We’re using alternate (power) sources to get as many customers back on as we can,” he said.
